Overview:

Ensuring Cost Effective Compliance with Groundwater Quality Regulations

The Sanitas™ state-of-the-art software package offers automated comprehensive RCRA statistics for Subtitle C and D facilities. Sanitas's unique decision support takes the guesswork out of statistics, while its user-friendly "point and click" selection system provides minimal analysis set-up time. The program offers statistical methodologies that are consistent with the recommended EPA regulations and guidance as well as the ASTM D6312-98 Guidance. Sanitas™ also provides state-specific statistical procedures to ensure that a facility's groundwater quality statistical analysis procedures meet all relevant regulations. Sanitas™ was built to provide rapid and cost-effective groundwater quality statistical analyses. Calculate your site-wide false positive rate with our convenient Rate Calculator and determine the statistical power of the test method you have chosen with Statistical Power Curves provided in Sanitas™. These sophisticated tools aid in minimizing both the false positive and false negative rates that could lead to erroneous statistical indications of contamination.

With the purchase of a Sanitas™ license, you recieve one year of unlimited software support. In addition, you are entitled to 90 minutes of statistical support from our knowledgable staff. It is our continuing endeavor to remain current with the latest recommended statistical methodologies so that we can offer you the most comprehensive answers. We will assist you in everything from interpreting your results to detailed explanations of the concepts behind the statistical methodology you have chosen.

The automated decision process means that you can simply click on the wells and constituents, and select the type of test required at your facility (i.e. Prediction Limits, Control Charts, Tolerance Limits). Sanitas™ will rapidly evaluate your data and account for such things as the percentage of nondetects, normality, and outliers. Upon completion of the pretests, Sanitas™ will construct the most appropriate type of limit based on your site-specific data. If you are curious how it arrived at its decision, simply read the text at the bottom of the graph and a detailed explanation of the process is provided. Sanitas™ also identifies (and automatically runs) optional analysis procedures that may be more appropriate for a given data set.

The Sanitas™ User Guide, which is provided as a printable PDF, offers an explanation of each statistical test implemented in the program, as well as the algorithms used and many examples.

Guided and simplified data entry and data file management (with the simplest data import and best technical support in the business), batch features, screen plots and hard copies, and personalized graphs are critical components to efficient analysis of data. Summary tables are available for a fast reference to view your results and/or to submit along with your analysis for review by your regulator.

Our newsletters alert Sanitas™ users of the most recent updates available to the program as well as User Tips section and valuable statistical information to assist you. We offer a 2-day Applied GroundWater Statistics Course at various locations throughout the United States where Sanitas support staff, along with Kirk Cameron, the author of the EPA Guidance, teach the concepts behind the statistical methodologies recommended in the Guidance documents.
